What is Forest School
Originating from Denmark in the 1980s and based on Outdoor learning for children, Forest school offers young children opportunities to develop self esteem, confidence and independence in a relaxed outside environment.

Activities are provided during Forest school sessions but the emphasis is on the children choosing what they want to do. Activities might include den building, collecting samples and observing nature, crafts such as muddy faces , games, identifying flora and fauna as well as sharing.
